Confederate Memorial Day April 28, 2007

Jett Cemetery, Orange, Texas Memorial Service 11am

Eight Confederate veterans are buried here, including William Jett, who served with Lt. Dick Dowling at the Battle of Sabine Pass.

Bobby Tisdale gave a good speech; three rounds were fired in salute.

In the Sunday Orange Leader, Calvin Johnson's column,
"Confederate Soldiers, April Memories" was published.
